No power can stop war crimes trial: PM
Online Desk :Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday said, ‘There is no power in the world which will be able to halt the continuous war crimes trial.’
‘If any Bangladeshi wants to stop this trial process, then I’ll urge the people of the country to hate that person, and his or her trial should also be held as a war criminal,'”The conspiracy of the cohorts of the Pakistani occupation forces is going on in the country and it would continue.’
According to BSS report she said, ‘But I believe that they won’t be able to do anything as we are taking out their poisonous teeth and we would continue to do so.’
The Premier came up with the comments while addressing a discussion held at Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh today afternoon.
The discussion was arranged by the Bangladesh Awami League (AL) marking the Martyred Intellectuals Day.
Pointing to the continuous war crimes trial, she also said, “The trial of war criminals is on and it will continue.’
Pointing to placing wreaths by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at the Martyred Intellectuals Memorial, she said that it was nothing but mockery with the people.The Prime Minister also slammed the BNP Chief for making the war criminals ministers.
The Prime Minister also took a swipe at those freedom fighters who accompanied Khaleda Zia at the Martyred Intellectuals Memorial. ‘They should be ashamed of themselves! Had they had the minimum shame and hatred, then they would not have accompanied her (Khaleda)’.
About the war trial processes she also said that questions were raised about the trial of war criminals.’But we do politics with an ideology,’ she said.
